Condolences

Condolence From: Tim Burkhart
Condolence: Very sorry to hear of the passing of Bert. I will always remember Bert as a positive, bright, trivia machine. We had Big Fun on Baseball bus trips. He always had a smile to offer and was just as genuine as they come. God Bless Bert and his family and circle of friends. May Peace be with everyone and may Bert be comforted by the Good Lord.

Condolence From: Jay Circosta
Condolence: Kirsten,Eleana,Misty,Mrs. Goddard,
I want to extend my sincere sympathy to the entire family. I knew Bert for over 30 years. I first met Bert when I was coaching baseball at Woodsfield H.S. and he was umpiring. We later became very close friends when I became Head Football coach at Woodsfield and Monroe Central. We worked together raising money through Scholastic Sports for our football program. Bert and I often said that it was more than sweatshirts and raising money, but it was the close friendship we developed.
Bert became a part of the Monroe Central Seminole football family. He attended many games and wore his Seminole shirt with pride. He loved us and we loved him.
What Bert went through the past 10 months was tougher than any football game. Throughout all of those 10 months I never once heard Bert complain. Bert had a strong faith in God. We now know that Bert is no longer suffering and he is in a better place.
Kirsten and Eleana your dad loved you dearly. We are all going to miss him, but we are all better because he set an example of how we should live our lives.
Jay and Donna Circosta
Head Football Coach
Monroe Central H.S.

Condolence From: Eric Meek
Condolence: Bert was not only an associate, but a friend. I've worked with Bert for over 20 years as the head football coach at two high schools in the Ohio Valley. He was a great man, who always enjoyed talking about his love for his family, the city of Marietta, and sports in general. I know Bert had a deep faith, as I've talked to him several times over the past 10 months, during his illness. God has called home a special servant...God Bless to his family...Eric Meek, head football coach, Toronto High School.
