The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Craig Butler can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Dan Coble
Condolence: Craig was a true friend and colleague at Louisville Presbyterian Seminary. He helped me with some difficult decisions during that time. We shared a lot of meals since at one point my apartment was directly below his; we even took a course together at the Southern Baptist Seminary. We shared a love of music and he especially liked when I played the organ in the chapel. The years have taken us on different paths but the memories will linger for the ages.

Condolence: Dear Caroline,

Thank you for sharing Craig with the Presbytery of West Virginia - I'm sure his many trips and time away from home meant that you missed him while we enjoyed him. His knowledge and sharing nature were extremely helpful to the First Buckhannon Church and me personally. Our shared meal and fellowship at Muriales is one of my fondest memories of Craig and meeting you made it even better. Craig was a gift treasured by many.

Condolence From: Ron Buckalew
Condolence: Dear Caroline,

As Craig served among us in West Virginia,
I know it meant self-sacrifices for both of you, for helping us as individuals and congregations and as a presbytery. Thank you for your part in his ministry. May our risen Lord bless and keep you and your family as we all anticipate rejoining Craig in the fullness of God's loving welcome and life-giving presence, when every tear of ours will be wiped away by our God and our pain and suffering will be no more. - Craig's, and your, brother in Christ and fellow servant of the Lord, Ron Buckalew. God's peace be with you, Christ's life be always in you, and God's Holy Spirit guide and sustain you each day, surrounding you with the faith and the love of God's own people. As we live by faith, hope and love, which endure, even so, come Lord Jesus.
