Adam David Biehl

Adam David Biehl, 31, of Whipple, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born May 21, 1981 in Marietta to David E. and Deborah Schott Biehl. He was a 1999 graduate of Marietta High School, where he was an excellent athlete for the Tiger football team, and a 2001 graduate of The Ohio State Agricultural Technical Institute. His life was farming on the family farm, where he managed the crops and was in charge of maintenance. Adam was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church in Harriettsville. He operated his own business, Tractor Pulling Parts (TPP). He was a member of the National Tractor Pulling Association, and was active in pulling, winning the Regional 2 National Points Championship in 2011, in the Light Pro Stock Class. His tractor, which he built, was called Mule Deere. Adam was very well known in the pulling community, as well as for his mechanical abilities. He was a Marietta FFA Alumni, member of the Black & White Holstein Club, 4-H, Washington County Farm Bureau, the Washington County Farm Agribusiness Program, and the County Corn Club. Adam is survived by his wife, Amy R. Schramm Biehl and daughters, Alayna and Alyssa, his parents, Dave and Debbie Biehl, brother, Joshua (Jessica) Biehl, all of Whipple, sister, Jenny Seaman (Doug) of Barlow, nieces and nephews, Jozie and Jackson Biehl, and Jordan Seaman, paternal grandfather, Eugene Biehl of Whipple, paternal grandmother, Frances Tidd of Dexter City, maternal grandmother, Betty Schott of Lowell, mother in law, Susan Schramm, father in law, John Schramm, and brother in law, Tyler Schramm, all of Marietta, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Charles Schott and Richard Tidd, grandmother, Patricia Biehl and uncle, Dave Schott. Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marietta, with the Rev. Timothy Shannon as celebrant. Visitation will be at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., with a Vigil Service at 4 p.m. Burial will be in the Berg Cemetery, Fearing Township. Donations preferred to Peoples Bank, for a trust for his daughters.
