Addie Mae Kimball

Addie Mae Delaney Kimball, 92, of Marietta, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born February 1, 1920 in Portland, Ohio to Marshall Delaney, Sr., and Belle Martin Delaney. She graduated from Racine High School and Mountain State College. In 1947 she married Coy A. Kimball, who preceded her in death in 1964. Addie is survived by a sister, Olivia Brugh, of Zanesville, and a brother, Marshall Delaney, Jr. of Parkersburg, WV. Addie raised four sons in the Fleming and Vincent areas, Marshall C. (Marcia) of Marietta, Wetzel of Vincent, Glen (Cindy) of Lancaster, and Allen, who preceded her in death. Also surviving are grandchildren, Chris Kimball (Rachel), Jeremy Kimball (Leah Elsbernd), Pricilla J. Anderson (Joshua), and Andrew Kimball (Christina) and great grandchildren, Kalyn and Casey Jo Kimball and Dominic and Tyler Anderson. Addie Mae was a legal secretary in the Marietta area for a number of years. She was later employed by, and retired from, the Bureau of Public Debt in Parkersburg. She dearly loved visiting with her friends and family and the staff and residents of Harmar Place. Her family would like to thank the staff of Marietta Memorial Hospital, Dr. Brockett, and the staff at Harmar Place Nursing Facility for their dedicated and loving care of Addie during her years there. Visitation will be held at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Her funeral will be on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., officiated by the Rev. Jim Mike Ward and the Rev. Chad Mugrage. Burial will be in Warren Chapel Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Williamstown Building Fund, P.O. Box 38, Williamstown, WV 26187, the Marietta High School Marching Wall of Sound, 208 Davis Ave., Marietta, Ohio 45750, or to a charity of choice.
