Agnes E. Offenberger, 83, of Lowell, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in Las Vegas, NV. She was born on March 25, 1925 in Springfield, IL to Lawrence and Elizabeth Tibbs Gurnsey. Agnes had worked for over 25 years in the health care industry caring for the elderly. She is a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Lowell and the Catholic Women's Club. Agnes enjoyed reading and working with her church. She is survived by three daughters, Victoria Kase (H.J.) of Las Vegas, NV, Rose Mary Augenstein of Marietta, and Rita Ann Offenberger of Marietta; three sons, Martin Offenberger of Casper, WY, Philip Offenberger (Angela) of Newport, NC, and Danny Offenberger of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister Mary Brooker (Ray) of Lowell. Her parents, one brother, William Gurnsey, and two sisters, Eleanor Craven and Anna Marie Westmoreland preceded her in death. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Lowell, with the Rev. Timothy Huffman celebrating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home.
