Albertha Margaret Salmons, 90, of Belpre, died Monday,October 19, 2009, at The Arbors, at Marietta. She was born March 2, 1919 in Bellevue, KY to Albert and Elizabeth Ording Backert. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Porterfield. She is survived by a daughter, Lesetta Wren (Victor Smith) of Belpre, a granddaughter, Stephanie Kiefer (Albert) of Chesapeake, VA and a nephew, David Shorten of Ashland City, TN. Preceded by parents and a sister, Lesetta Shorten. Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2009, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Gallagher as celebrant. Visitation will be at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 til 8 p.m. Burial will be at Graceland Memorial Gardens in Milford, Ohio.
