Allene Louise Arnold Huck, 81, of Churchtown, died Saturday, December 25, 2010, at the Arbors, in Marietta. She was born March 3, 1929 in Marietta to John H. and Virginia M. Schilling Arnold. She was a 1947 graduate of St. Mary's Catholic High School. Allene had worked at Dudley's Hallmark and was a dedicated homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, camping, traveling and being with her family. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and a 50 year member of the Catholic Women's Club. She is survived by her husband, Vincent Ernest Huck, they were married on June 10, 1950, also by two sons, Melvin Huck (Donna S.) and Marvin Huck (Donna L.) of Pittsburgh, PA, three daughters, Bonnelle Flowers (Lloyd R.), Loretta Brady (Lou), and Lisa Berendts (Ben) of Marietta, eight grandchildren, Vincent Huck (Nicole), Jonathan Huck (Siobhan), Chad Huck, Meghan Flowers (Ron Moore), Shannon Hopp (Don), Adrienne Flowers and Alison Westerman and Scott Westerman, two great grandchildren, Eli Huck and Aiden Westerman, two sisters, one brother, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Gilbert Paul Huck, grandchildren, Emily Susanne and Nathan Paul Huck, two sisters and four brothers. Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be held at St. John's Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Virgil Reischman as celebrant. Visitation will be at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and anytime on Tuesday, where the family will greet from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. There will be a Vigil Service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. Her burial will be at St. John's Cemetery in Churchtown.
