Alma Irene Bowers, 90, of Marietta, Ohio, formerly of Lehigh Acres, Florida, died Friday, December 28, 2012 in Marietta. She was born on September 22, 1922, in Evans City, PA, to William John and Nora E. Nelson Marburger. Alma was a member of Lehigh Boulevard Baptist Church, in Lehigh Acres. She is survived by two sons, Ronald Bowers (Connie) of Marietta and Dr. Victor Bowers (Vicky) of Tampa, FL; five grandchildren, Gabriel Fiest (Rebecca) and R. Andrew Bowers, both of Bridgeport, WV, Megan Bowers of Pittsburgh, PA, and Nickolas and Karina Bowers of Tampa, FL; two great grandchildren, Autumn and Clay Fiest; and one brother, Leroy Marburger of Clinton, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Omar Dell Bowers, two brothers, William C. and Malval Marburger, and one sister, Agnes Hall. Graveside services will be on Monday, January 7, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at Lee Memorial Park, in Ft. Myers, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alma's name to a charity of the donor's choice. The Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
