Aniano B. De Josef, M.D., 69, of Marietta, died Sunday evening, May 26, 2013, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Born September 17, 1943, in Manila, Philippines, he was the son of the late Domingo and Adoracion Beltran De Josef.
Dr. De Josef was a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, in the College of Medicine, class of 1967. He has been employed as a pathologist at Marietta Memorial Hospital for the past thirty years. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and various professional organizations.
On May 12, 1973, he married Teresita Paguirigan, M.D., who survives with their son, Jason De Josef, of Marietta. Also surviving are two sisters, Josephina Ambrocio (Rogalio), of Manila, and Elma Mejorada (Edgardo), of Houston, Texas.
Funeral Liturgy, with Mass will be 10:00 am Saturday, June 1, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Reverend Monsignor John Michael Campbell as celebrant. The family will greet friends at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, and on Friday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM. A Vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday. It is suggested that memorials may be directed to the St. Mary Catholic Church Restoration Fund, 506 Fourth Street, Marietta, OH 45750.
