Anthony Bryan Grimes, 35, of St. Rt. 676, Waterford, died Saturday, November 3, 2012. He was born June 3, 1977 in Marietta to Rodney and Sona Cline Grimes. Bryan was a 1995 graduate of Frontier High School and had been employed at Globe Metallurgical. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Bryan enjoyed Ohio State football, was a big Jason Aldean fan, loved country music and concerts and had a great love for animals, especially Golden Retrievers and horses. The greatest loves of his life were his wife, Catherine Gillespie Grimes, who he married on August 7, 2004, and his sons, Blake, who he loved watching football, wrestling, and four wheeling with, and Kyle, who he loved to read to and play with. He is also survived by his parents of New Matamoras, a brother, Ryan Grimes (Kelly) of New Matamoras; his in laws, Dr. Carter and Jane Gillespie, of Watertown; his granny, Wilma Gillespie, of Watertown; grandmother in law, Barbara Schaad, of Cutler; three sisters in law, Lesley Davenport (Michael) of Pittsburgh, PA, Kelly Adams (Corey) of Waterford, and Julie McCorkle (Chris) of Alexandria, VA; two brothers in law, Ross Gillespie (Danielle) of Powell and Heath Gillespie (Keri) of Delaware, OH, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Jeff Cline. Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 9, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with the Rev. Virgil Reischman as celebrant. Friends may call at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. There will be a Vigil Service held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family requests donations be made to Peoples Bank, P.O. Box 738, Marietta, OH 45750, for the benefit of his sons, in the name of Blake or Kyle Grimes.
