Arthur Dean Hunter

Arthur Dean Hunter, 85, of Lowell, died Monday, September 15, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born October 4, 1928 in Washington County to Denna and Lucy R. Danner Hunter. Art was a graduate of Lowell High School. He had been co owner of the Avondale Club, Inc. in Lowell. He was a member of Lowell Masonic Lodge #436, Sons of the American Legion, Eagles, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Art is survived by his children, Wanda A. Meiser (Thomas) of Lowell, Donald A. Hunter of Marietta, Marcia A. Hunter-Buzzell of Perrysburg, eight grandchildren, Heather A. Ayers (Taten), Angela L. Smith (James), Cassandra D. Lang (Luke), Eric M. Hunter (Sarah), Shelby R., Alexander W. and Colby J. Buzzell and Gage S. Hunter, three great grandchildren, Victoria A. Mimken, Taten E. Ayers, and Grant Lang, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen Anne Snow Hunter, in 2007, his parents, and a brother, Warren G. Hunter. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 19, 2014, at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. Friends may call on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Lowell. Donations to L-A Fire & Rescue, P.O. Box 406, Lowell, Ohio, 45744.
