Bernadine M. Stephens

Bernadine M. Stephens, 84, of Williamstown, W.Va., died Dec. 19, 2015, at the Willows Center in Parkersburg, W.Va.
She was born May 20, 1931, in Grantsville, W.Va., to the late Irvin and Merle Badgett Jones.
Bernadine graduated from Williamstown High School in 1950. She retired in 1995 from Harts, following 18 years of employment. Bernadine was a member of First Baptist Church in Williamstown and she was proud to be a breast cancer survivor.
She is survived by her son, Howard Stephens and his wife, Polly, of Vincent; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Savage of Columbus and Sarahkate Stephens of Chicago; a sister, Ernestine Dulaney; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Stephens; and siblings, Thurl Lantz, Elanor Lantz Casto, Leroy Jones and Bill Jones.
Abiding with her wishes, graveside services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown, with the Rev. Glenn Perry officiating. Everyone is invited to First Baptist Church following services for a celebration of life.
Her family would like to thank everyone who cared for Bernadine, including Hospice of Wood County and the Willows.
