Bernard Joseph Huck, Jr., 60, of Lowell, died Thursday, August 29, 2013. He was born May 29, 1953 in Lowell to Bernard Joseph and Dorothy Smith Huck, Sr. Bernie was a 1972 graduate of Fort Frye High School. He was employed as a mechanic at the Eveready Battery Company, and was vice president of United Steelworkers Union 1-00639 of Marietta. He was a member of the Sons of the Legion, Squadron #750, Lowell and the Marietta Boat Club. He enjoyed golfing, boating, college football and hunting. Bernie is survived by his daughter, Lisa Huck, of San Antonio, TX, four sisters, Debbie Madison (John) of Indianapolis, IN, Nancy Huck of Lowell, Mary Beth Caffey (Allen) of Lowell, and Laurie Offerman of Auburndale, FL, one brother, Terry Huck (Yvonne) of Beverly, his mother in law, Alice Eubank of McConnelsville, sisters in law, Connie King (Ancil) of McConnelsville and Teresa Hecker of Athens, brother in law, David Eubank (Ginger) of McConnelsville, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Eubank Huck, on February 15, 2007, they were married on April 28, 1973, also preceded by his parents. Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at St. Mary of the Assumption Basilica in Marietta, with the Rev. Christopher Foxhoven as celebrant. Friends may call at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. There will be a Vigil Service at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Burial will be in New St. Mary's Cemetery.
