Betty June attended Marion Elementary School in Marietta, Ohio and graduated from Marietta High School in 1946. Following high school graduation, Betty June attended Marietta College before marrying Louis E. Huck, Jr., her high school sweetheart, on October 23rd, 1949. She was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption, and was formerly an active member of the Marietta Welfare League and the Chi Honor Chapter of the Ohio Child Conservation League. Her outgoing personality and love of meeting new people was a great asset to her as the receptionist in the Marietta College Admissions Office as well as in her 31 years of volunteer service to Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Days spent at the O'Neill Adult Day Center were much brighter days for Betty June. When the time came that she could no longer go to the O'Neill, she still enjoyed an occasional ride through her home town with one stop for an ice cream cone. Her favorite place in the world outside of Marietta was any beach in Florida or South Carolina.
