Betty Ann Riley, 77, of Colegate Drive, Marietta, died Saturday, January 8, 2011, at her residence. She was born November 12, 1933 in Niles, Ohio to Steve and Anna Petak Zgurich. She was a 1951 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. She had worked as a bookkeeper and florist in Hubbard, Ohio and enjoyed cross stitch, crocheting, knitting, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, and feeding the birds. Betty is survived by four sons, Michael "Mickey" (Laurie) of Anadarko, OK, Dennis (Jeanne) of Marietta, Raymond of Vienna, Ohio, and Patrick (Carol) of Southington, Ohio; two daughters, Elaine of Hubbard and Eileen of Fairport Harbor; fourteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; a brother, Steve Zgurich (Joan) of Avon Lake; a sister, Donna Urbach (Paul) of Youngstown, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin McDowell Riley, on May 19, 2009, a grandson, Michael Joseph Riley II, and a nephew, Christopher Zgurich. Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with the Rev. Msgr. John Michael Campbell officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Grove Hill Cemetery in Hanoverton, Ohio, at a later date.
