Betty W. Skiver, 77, of Williamstown, died Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born February 29, 1936 in West Portsmouth, Ohio to William and Margaret Janetsky Thomas. She had worked for Fenton Art Glass, retiring in 2000. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Williamstown. She is survived by her husband, Jack Skiver, two sons, Brian K. (Maria), Kevin R. (Cheryl), both of Williamstown, a daughter, Karen S. Miller (Floyd) of Newport, grandchildren, Brandy Gordon (Calvin), Jessica Malone (Greg), Stacy Miller, Michelle Skiver (Cody), Justin Skiver, great grandchildren, Austin Gordon, Baylee and Julia Malone, Lyndsay Burwell, Harper and Silas Rogers, two brothers, Robert Janetsky (Marty) of Columbus and William Thomas of Reynoldsburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Carolyn Porazan, and a great grandson, Reese Malone. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Dr. Steve Gedon officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown. Donations would be appreciated to the funeral home, 408 Front St., Marietta, to help offset expenses.
