Billy H. Davis, 76, Cutler, OH, died Tuesday evening July 28, 2015, at Marietta, OH. Born August 12, 1938, in Damascus, VA, he was a son of the late Walter and Mary Wright Davis.
Billy was a graduate of Damascus High School, and later had worked as a plant manager and supervisor at Gatewood Products, in Parkersburg, WV. He also had worked for over thirty years in maintenance for Warren Local Schools and at Huck's Pallet Recycling in Layman. Billy loved accomplishing things through his hobby of woodworking.
On August 9, 1958, Billy married Gatha Crabtree, who survives with their daughter, Michelle Pierson, of Cutler, and granddaughters Samantha and Olivia Pierson; siblings Elsie (Jim) Williams, of Medina, Wanda Hewlitt, of Lorraine, Warren Davis, of Medina, and Joyce Davis, of Akron; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, August 3, 2015, at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Pastor David Dye officiating. Entombment will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Billy's family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, and on Monday beginning at 11:00 am.
