Bobby F. Waggoner, 80, of Veto Road, Belpre, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Marietta Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was born on October 3, 1930 in Harrisville, WV, the son of Anthony John and Rana M. Rexroad Waggoner. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janet L. Bailey Waggoner; children, Wanda Waggoner Hatfield (Steven) of Anna Maria Island, FL and James F. Waggoner (fianc, Diane Dyar) of Marietta; grandchildren, Michael J. Hall (Cheryl) of Little Hocking and Sarah Hensil of Dallastown, PA; great grandchildren, Cierra Hall, RJ, Bradly and Mia Hensil; step grandchildren, Michael and Ariel Riggs; brothers, Vental Waggoner (Hilda) of Mt. Victory, OH and Rex Waggoner (Dot) of Panama City, FL and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Doyle, Harvey, Anthony "Andy", and Robert. Bobby was a member of the Decatur Chapel Church, charter member of the Scenic Hills Lions Club, where he was the first Sight Saving chairman, had been a marshall of the Barlow Fair parade, member of the Warren Local Football Hall of Fame, had been a cub master, pee wee baseball coach, basketball referee, and numerous other volunteer activities. He was a self employed masonry contractor and a substitute teacher at Washington County Career Center. Bobby was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Korea, serving for four years. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Dr. Tim Lindsey officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Lions Club memorial services will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Burial will be in Barlow Central Cemetery, with full military honors. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and best canine friend, Bear.
