Brian Vincent Gerken, 57, of Columbus, and formerly of Lowell, died Sunday, June 24, 2012, in Columbus. He was born January 16, 1955 in Marietta to Homer Henry and Kathryn Anna Stengel Gerken. He was a 1973 graduate of Fort Frye High School and graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. Brian is survived by brother, Kenneth (Gracie) of McDowell, KY, twin brother, Bruce (Janet) of Lancaster, and special friend, Deborah Cornwell. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Judith Ann. There will be a memorial service held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at St. John's Evangelical Church in Lowell, with Pastor Don Hart officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the church. Burial of his ashes will take place at a later date in Greenlawn Cemetery.
