"B" Bryon James Pritchett-March 8, 1987-June 5, 2020
"B" Bryon James Pritchett, age 33, died on June 5, 2020, after a 21 month battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Jarrah Huck Pritchett, who "B" called "the love of his life," and two children Brycen James (age 9) and Josie Raine (age 4).
"B" loved his family above all else. He was very involved in his children's activities and always present at sporting events and school activities. He inherited his father's love of music and taught himself to play guitar. Other than his family, B's great passion in life was for food.
He graduated Marietta High School and studied Culinary Arts at Hocking College in Nelsonville. He worked as a kitchen manager and chef in a variety of restaurants and bistros over the past 15 years.
Those who knew B were fortunate enough to know his devotion to his family, his caring personality and his deep abiding affection for his many friends. B came into this world 2 months prematurely and left us many, many years too soon. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial contributions may be made at Peoples Bank, 138 Putnam Street, Marietta, Ohio 45750, to "Jarrah Pritchett for the Benefit of the Pritchett Children." The family wants to thank the staff of Hospice, the Strecker Cancer Center and Dr. Kelli Cawley for all their care and compassion. We want to extend a special thanks to the leadership and employees of Rent-to-Own for their incredible support early in B's illness.
Bryon James Pritchett was preceded in death by his father Dennis Pritchett, his paternal grandparents Jim and Mildred Pritchett, his maternal grandparents Frank and Mary Margaret O'Connell and his aunts Darlene Combs-Young and Cheryl Pritchett Mercer.
In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his mother Grace O'Connell Pritchett, aunts Karla Pritchett Leech, Peg O'Connell and Patricia O'Connell Eddy and uncle Kevin Pritchett. He is also survived by his parents-in-law Mike and Dena Huck, brother-in-law Joe Huck, sister-in-law Jacinda Huck, and a large number of Pritchett and O'Connell cousins.
