Carla Jean Rainer

Carla Jean Rainer, 75, of Marietta, Ohio, died Monday, May 6, 2019 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 26, 1943 in Zanesville, Ohio, to Forrest Raymond and Wauneda Hope Wilson Knox.
Carla graduated from Malta/McConnelsville High School. She retired from Selby General Hospital in 1983, working in dietary, special foods and was a school bus driver. Carla had attended the First United Methodist Church in Williamstown and enjoyed music, dancing and sitting in the park by the river.
She is survived by her two children, Paul Rainer of Marietta and Polly Rainer of Whipple, Ohio; grandson, Michael Rainer, currently serving in the Army at Ft. Campbell, KY; siblings, Doris Schueler, Raymond "Butch" Knox, Betty Lowers, Sheila Hall and Patricia McGrew; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Eleanor Glines, Evelyn Smith, Dorothy Knox, Forrest Knox, Jr. and Sheldon Knox.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. Her Ashes will be placed in the columbarium at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown. Visitation will be at the funeral home for two hours before the service.
