Carol Pauline Gorham

September 20, 1935 — June 23, 2019

Carol Pauline Gorham, 83, of Barlow, died Sunday, June 23, 2019 at her home. Born
September 20, 1935 in Williamstown, WV, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Iona Dye
Pugh.

She was a member of the Barlow Presbyterian Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Barlow
Volunteer Fire Department. Carol was know in the community as "Auntie Carol", and enjoyed
baking pies, playing cards and various crafting projects.

Carol married Robert "Bob" Gorham September 19, 1954, who survives with two daughters,
Debbie Cunningham (Rod) of Marietta, Sandra Gorham (Tom West) of Barlow; granddaughter
Alisha Foust (Jeron) of Dublin, OH; two great-grandchildren, Piper and Sophia Foust; five step-
grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; sister Garnet McKnight; brother Sam Pugh, and
many nieces and nephews, and her special dog "Buddy".

She was preceded in death by aninfant son, John David Gorham, and sisters Dorothy Jean, Ruth and Alice.
The family would like to give special thanks to Kathy Ball for helping as a care giver for the past
year.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley &
Peoples Funeral Home, with Pastor Rick Hastings officiating. Burial will be in Barlow Central
Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 6-8 pm. Donations
may be directed to either the Barlow Presbyterian Church, P O Box 146, Barlow, OH 45712, or
Amedisys Hospice, 27855 St. Rt. 7, Marietta, OH 45750.
