Carol Sue Vandale Miller

Carol Sue Vandale Miller, 70, of Pleasant City, OH, died Saturday, August 28, 2010, in Lebanon, IL. She was born December 20, 1939 in Little Hocking, a daughter of Helen Horton Roe. Carol was affectionate toward all animals. She was always expressing how proud she was of her sons and their families. She is survived by her three sons, William "Smitty" Vandale (Linda) of Marietta, Steve Vandale (April) of New Bern, NC and Samuel Michael Vandale (Jennifer) of O'Fallon, IL; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two sisters, Betty Lowe (Bill) of Little Hocking and Martha Lowe of Willoughby. She was first married to Benjamin Smith Vandale and later to Patrick Loye Miller, Sr., who preceded her in death, along with her mother and her beloved dogs, Tammi Bear, Dollars, and Nikki. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Pastor Wilbert "Bill" Lowe officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Donations may be made to the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley, P.O. Box 5, Marietta, OH 45750.
