Carolyn Ruth Lehman, 65, of Lowell, Ohio, passed away surrounded by her family Friday, November 29, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV. She was born on November 18, 1954 in Carlisle, PA to Alvey Jacob and Velma Ruth Kopp Keefer, Jr.
Carolyn graduated from Boiling Springs High School in 1972 and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ashland University in 1995. After working for Ashland University for 11 years and Coldwater Creek for 10 years, she retired from the Bureau of Fiscal Services in 2012. Carolyn was a member of Marietta First Church of the Nazarene in Marietta, Ohio, where she was involved with the Praise and Worship Team. She enjoyed reading, cooking, entertaining, and most importantly spending time with her children, grandchildren and family.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Lehman, whom she married on April 13, 1973, her mother of Carlisle, PA; four children, Christopher Lehman (Jill) of Joffre, PA, Heidi Mayer of Chicago, IL, Jesse Lehman of Marietta, and Rebekah Framan (Joe) of Cleveland, OH; eight grandchildren, Taylor, Zachary, Zoee, Turner, Evelyn, Riley, Erica and Melvyn; one great grandson, Kasen; siblings, Sandra Myers (Dale) of Carlisle, Diana Moses (Stewart) of Nashville, TN and David Keefer of Carlisle; sister in law, Nancy Keefer of Mechanicsburg, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; granddaughter, Emma; brother, Ronald Keefer; and infant sister, Wanda Sue.
Funeral services in Marietta will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Marietta First Church of the Nazarene. Visitation in Marietta will be on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church and for one hour prior to the services on Tuesday. There will also be funeral services in Pennsylvania at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2019 at The Meeting House in Carlisle. Visitation in Pennsylvania will be on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church and for one hour prior to the services on Friday.
