Catherine P. Arnold, 93, of Waterford, died Monday, October 13, 2014, at Appletree Assisted Living in Beverly. She was born October 12, 1921 in Lowell to Clarence E. and Emma Bauerbach Huck. Catherine was a graduate of Lowell High School. On September 9, 1941, she married George Arnold. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Catholic Women's Club. She was a cook for Watertown Elementary School and an honorary member of the Waterford FFA. She loved to cook, quilt, sew, and take care of her family. Catherine is survived by her children, Carolyn (Neil) Alloway of Belpre, Marilyn (Bernard) Schilling of Waterford, Nora (Larry) Huffman of Marietta, Dolores (Ronald) Kelby of Beverly, Cecilia Cooper of Waterford, Barbara (Richard) Robinson of Marietta, George (Mary) Arnold of Houston, TX, Theresa (Paul) Warren of Beverly, Hugh (Kelley) Arnold of Waterford, Sister Cathy Arnold of Akron, Vivian (Scott) Wiley of Medina, and Aaron (Katy) Arnold of Smithville; 41 grandchildren, 83 great grandchildren, two sisters, Leora Arnold of Marietta, Sophia (Cletus) Schoeppner of Zanesville, three brothers in law, Dale (Jane) Cox of Whipple, James Arnold and Vincent Huck of Marietta, seven sisters in law, Patricia Huck of Lowell, Linda Huck and Irene Lang of Waterford , Freda Huck and Mildred Arnold of Marietta, Mary Lou Huck of Vincent and Lillian Arnold of Jacksonville, FL. She was preceded in death on July 9, 1966 by her husband, George Arnold, also preceded by son and daughter in law, Larry and Jackie Arnold, sisters, Lucy Long and Mary Jo Cox, brothers, Howard, Martin and Norbert Huck, and three grandchildren. Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Churchtown with the Rev. Virgil Reischman, the Rev. Msgr. Robert Kawa and the Rev. David Huffman as celebrants. Visitation will be at The Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Vigil Service at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Donations in her memory to St. John's School Foundation, 17784 St. Rt. 676, Marietta, OH 45750.
