Charles Edward "Charlie" Anderson, 79, of Vincent, Ohio, died Friday, April 11, 2014, at his residence. He was born on September 16, 1934 in Marietta, Ohio, to Edward L. and Evelyn Sara Barris Anderson. Charlie retired from Broughton Foods, was a farmer, and loved nature, especially squirrels. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Naomi McIntire Anderson, two daughters, Sharon Wheeler (Onnie) of Winfield, WV and Kristy Anderson of Chillicothe, Ohio, two step-sons, Jeffrey O. Dye (Kathy) of Parkersburg, WV and Jerry A. Dye (Andrea) of Marietta, five grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa, Jeffrey II, Tim and Natalie, and one sister, Pauline Ritchie of Marietta. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Alberta Anderson. Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Barlow Central Cemetery, with Dr. Lloyd Dennis officiating. Donations may be made in Charlie's name to Strecker Cancer Center, 401 Matthew Street, Marietta, Ohio 45750.
