Charles "Charlie" Naab

Charles “Charlie” Naab, 61, of Williamstown, WV died on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at his home. He was born on June 18, 1962 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late Joseph Jacob Naab, Jr. and Helen Maryann Huber Naab.

He graduated from Williamstown High School and made many friends while working at various restaurants in the valley, culminating in over 20 years at the Lafayette Hotel. He also bartended at many private parties and receptions. Charlie enjoyed boating and worked for Al-Cott Marine in Williamstown. He was never hesitant to tear into an engine or any other mechanical equipment. Charlie was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He was the epitome of a fun uncle and brother, always knowing how to get a laugh or make someone smile. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Charlie is survived by his sister, Mariann Hamperian (Bruce); brother, Jimmy Naab (Kate Menke); three nephews, Aaron Hamperian (Liz) and Vaughn and Xavier Naab; and step-mother, Betty Naab. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Charlie’s family will be hosting a Celebration of Life in his honor at the Lafayette Hotel Riverview Lounge on Wednesday May 29th, from 6-8 p.m.

A private graveside service will be held at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown, WV.  Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of the MOV, 90 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, OH  45750.
