Charles Robert "Bob" Weyrich, 85, of Fleming, died Friday, September 4, 2015, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born April 8, 1930 in Marietta to Herman M. and Martha Lulu Abicht Weyrich. He was a 1949 graduate of Marietta High School. Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran of Korea. He retired as a superintendent at Bergen Brothers in 1992 following 42 years of employment. Bob was a member of Tunnel United Methodist Church. He had been a trustee for the Warren Water Association for 20 years and was a member of American Legion, Post #64. He loved his Golden Retrievers, especially Sami and Joey, and his Yorkie, Fergie, who died just two days after Bob became ill. He was an avid OSU fan, especially football and basketball. He enjoyed working outdoors. Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Adrienne Bond Weyrich, they were married on August 25, 1950; a daughter, Teresa Benton (Bill), of Fleming; two grandchildren, Jeremy Benton (Erica Janetos) of Belpre and Jason Benton (Nina Miller) of Vienna, WV; four great grandchildren, Jack, Rachel, and Andrea Benton and Christopher Miller, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Anita Berg and Ruth Vanwey and a brother, Bill Weyrich. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Thomas officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. His burial will be in Barlow Central Cemetery. Donations may be made to Marietta Home Health & Hospice, 450 Pike St., Suite I-1, Marietta, OH 45750, or to a charity of donor's choice.
