Cheryl Lynn Ayers, 52, of Lowell, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born September 12, 1961 in Marietta to Dean and Betty Hockenberry Broome. Cheryl was a graduate of Fort Frye High School. She loved to fish and cook. Cheryl is survived by her parents of Lowell, her husband, Terry Ayers, daughter, Valerie Stone Gustafson (John) of Parkersburg, WV, son, Shaun Stone (Christina) of Yukon, OK, expected granddaughter, Jocelyn Gustafson, brother, Larry Broome (Debbie) of Londonderry, sister, Linda Mendenhall (Kenny), of Lowell, in laws, Allen and Diane Ayers, sister in law, Kelly Nichols (Russ) of Winterset, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Kandis Kay Moore. Visitation will be at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m., with John Wells officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Strecker Cancer Center.
