Christine Elaine Richards

Christine Elaine Richards, 80, of Bartlett passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019. She was born August 4, 1938, in Parkersburg to the late Lewis and Roberta Sams Ferrell.

Christine was a graduate of Parkersburg High School in 1956. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading, watching her humming birds and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by four daughters, Cindy Russell (Jerry) of Memphis, TN, Karen Jenkins (Don) of Bartlett, Cheryl Cline of Barlow and Lisa Richards (Chuck Augenstein) of Bartlett; four sons, Rusty Richards (Donna) of Bartlett, Ronnie Richards of Belpre, Jason Richards of Bartlett and Keith Richards of Bartlett; 16 grandchildren, including Amber, who helped care for her, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Christine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell "Ray" Richards in 2002; daughter, Vicki Richards in 2010 and brother, Robert Ferrell in 2009.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home with Rick Hastings officiating. Burial will follow in Bartlett Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Amedisys Hospice or your favorite charity.
