Constance June Hayes

Constance June "Connie" Hayes, 85, of Richmond, Texas, and formerly of Marietta, died Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at the Richmond Health Care Facility in Richmond. She was born September 17, 1923 in Marietta to Carrol C. and Laura Beryl Paxton McNeal. She had worked at Marietta College as secretary for the Dean of Men and was a past member of the Christ United Methodist Church. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Vincent Hayes in September of 1995, and her daughter, Connie Kay Hayes Gordon in August of 2005. Funeral services will be held at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Doug Stockton officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Waterford Cemetery.
