Dale Francis Muntz

Dale Francis Muntz, 86, of Marietta, died Friday, July 18, 2014, at The Arbors. He was born July 28, 1927 in Waterford to Fred and Matilda Arnold Muntz. Dale had worked for 33 years at Elkem Metals. He was a member of The Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption and K of C, Council 478. Dale is survived by his wife, Madeline Schultheiss Muntz, three daughters, Judith Spence (James) of Newark, Victoria Brown of Williamstown, WV and Pamela Lang (Doug) of Marietta, a son, Jerry Muntz (Brenda) of Orion, MI, stepson, Robert Price of Marietta, three sisters, Leona Muntz of Marietta, Helen Dye (Paul) of Canton and Lela Murray (Kenneth) of Marietta, two brothers, Joe Muntz (Ruth) of Marietta and Paul Muntz of Lakeland, FL., nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Pabst, a brother, Wilbur Muntz, and a step daughter, Carolyn Sue Price. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery in Churchtown. Donations may be made to The Basilica of St. Mary Restoration Fund.
