Darren Michael Ball, 55, President, CEO and half owner of T and M Farm Toys, of Watertown, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on June 14, 1969 in Beverly, Ohio to Donald Eugene and Evah June Sherlock Ball.
Darren was a 1987 graduate of Waterford High School. He was currently employed by Watertown Township, as an Equipment Operator. Darren was a member of the Beverly Eagles, Post #3665, and Sons of the American Legion, Post #389, in Beverly. He loved farming and dedicated his life to his family farm. Darren and Lisa opened T and M Farm Toys, which they operated for 25 years. He loved jeep riding, tractor pulling and announcing the pulls at all the fairs in the area, especially his favorite, the Waterford Community Fair. Darren never knew a stranger and loved spending time with his friends and family. He was known for his sarcasm, humor, infectious personality and lending a hand where needed. Darren was also known for his T and M Farm Toy videos and his tribute to the Waterford Community Fair during COVID.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Renee Hinton Ball, whom he married on December 10, 1996; two children, Travis Ball (Hannah) and Megan Ball; two granddaughters who meant the world to him, Ava and Aliza; siblings, Andy Ball (Carla), Rita Stollar (Keven), David Ball (Laura); and many extended family and friends, including a special friend, Beth Branham.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Ball; and brother, Jerry Ball.
A funeral service will be on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 11:00 am AT THE BARLOW CHAPEL OF CAWLEY & PEOPLES FUNERAL HOME. Following the service, a graveside service will take place at Watertown Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Thursday from 3 to 8 pm.
As Darren would say, “We’ll see you when you get here”.
