David Keith Lane, 55, of Oak Hill Rd., Cutler, went to be with the Lord from his home at 7:20 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2009. He was born June 12, 1953 in Hempstead, Long Island, NY to William and Frances "Pat" Higgins Lane. He was a graduate of Warren High School and received his bachelor degree in botany from Miami University and his masters in education from Marietta College. David had been grounds supervisor at Marietta College. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, where he was music leader and guitarist. David was involved in Boy Scout Troop #217 and had coached elementary basketball, baseball and soccer. He helped start the Warren Soccer Recreation League and had been announcer for the Warren High School Soccer League. He had given over 60 pints of blood in his lifetime. David is survived by his mother of Cutler; two daughters, Jessica Mudrick (Kevin) of Wallingford, PA and Rachel Lane of Cutler; a son, Patrick Lane of Cutler; two grandchildren, Olivia and Ryan Mudrick; a brother Greg Lane (Robin) of Cutler; a niece, Heather Lane, and a nephew, Ross Lane. He was preceded in death by his father; his wife, Patricia Diane Lane, on March 8, 2008, they had been married on December 9, 1978; and a brother, Jeff Lane. Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2009, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, with the Rev. Robert Gallagher as celebrant. The family will greet friends at the church on Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. and also following the mass.
