David Lee Slagle, Sr., 54, of Walnut St., Lowell, died at 5:31 p.m. on Thursday, December 25, 2008 in Marietta. He was born on November 30, 1954 in Arnoldsburg, WV. David was adopted and raised by Howard Edward and Lyda Fern Headley Slagle. He was a self-employed electrician. He is survived by his fianc, Gerry Offenberger of Lowell; daughter, Kristall Chambers (Mark) of Parkersburg; son, David Lee Slagle, Jr. (Karen) of Cambridge; step-son, Howard Rhodes of Lowell; four grandchildren, Damien Pfalzgraf, Galen and Arwen Chambers, and Amaya Slagle; five half-siblings, Ron Slagle, Donna Williamson, Sharon Tanner, and Gary and Kevin Marks. He was preceded in death by his adopted parents and biological parents, Basil Marks and Waveline Hardway. Abiding with his wishes, he has been cremated and there will be no visitation or services. Donations may be made to the L-A Fire & Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 406, Lowell, Ohio 45744.
