Debora "Debi" Bauer Miller, 61, of Kent, OH, died Thursday evening, July 20, 2017 in Cleveland, resulting from complications of an autoimmune disorder. She was born November 9, 1955 in Marietta, a daughter of Theodore and Ruth Valentine Bauer.
Debi was a 1974 graduate of Marietta High School and had attended Kent State University, where she had been employed for 38 years, retiring July 1st of this year. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Debi had a love of gardening and was an avid reader. As a hobby, she worked with Ohio Railway Supply sourcing heritage railroad cars for renovation and delivery to private and global corporate clients. A hobby that allowed her to travel the world.
In addition to her parents, of Marietta, she is survived by her daughter Jessica Elise Miller and her father Randy Miller, both of Kent; two sisters, Cynthia Winning (Ted) of Parker, CO and Rebecca Mills (Jerry) of Bradenton, FL; a brother, Mark Bauer (Julie) of Marietta; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Liturgy, with Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption, with the Rev. Msgr. John Michael Campbell officiating. Debi's family will greet friends at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, 408 Front Street, Marietta on Monday, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
