Dolores Jean Mahoney, 89, formerly of Lowell, Ohio, died Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Brookdale Senior Living in Marietta, Ohio, where she recently resided. She was born on May 4, 1928 in Weirton, WV to the late Thomas and Hariette Hartshorn Hupp.
Dolores was a graduate of Lowell High School and worked for Remington Rand as a billing clerk. She was a member of the Evergreen Bible Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and nursery worker.
She is survived by her daughter, Alicia Stevens (Darren) of Marietta; two grandchildren, Joshua and Chloe Stevens; two sisters, Ramona Rummer and Janet Clark; one brother, Tracey Hupp; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on May 24, 2017, Ralph Richard Mahoney, whom she married on March 16, 1947; daughter, Cathy Mahoney on February 20, 2009; and one brother, Ronald Hupp.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Evergreen Bible Church in Williamstown, with Dr. Steve Thibault officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell. Visitation will be on Friday evening at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to services on Saturday.
