Donald Duane Anderson

Donald Duane Anderson, 87, of Vincent, Ohio, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Harmar Place in Marietta, Ohio. He was born on October 30, 1930 in Parkersburg, WV, to Donald Wayne and Chessie Dove Williams Anderson.
Don received his GED while serving his country in the U.S. Navy, during the Korean Conflict. He was an Industrial Painter for many years, retiring from Local #1144, out of Parkersburg. Don was a member of the NRA, and loved fishing, gigging and hunting. He was a wine maker and loved helping people, especially his friends and neighbors.
He was survived by three children, David Anderson (Carmela), Aaron Anderson and Donna Richardson (Rodney White), all of Vincent; seven grandchildren, Cody Anderson, Mick Henthorne, Adam Anderson, Elizabeth Anderson, Brandon Robinson, Heather Merritt and Richia Richardson; and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Esther Boulet Anderson, whom he married on July 14, 1957; and son, Donald Juan Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with full military honors observed. Visitation will be on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
