Donald Ray Bishop, 87, of Marietta, Ohio, died on Monday, April 30, 2018. He was born on February 17, 1931 in Central Station, WV to Floyd Harold and Mary Isabelle Griffen Bishop.
Don served his country in the United States Army, from 1951 to 1953. He owned and operated Don Bishop Construction for many years and later drove truck for Marietta Ignition. Don enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by two daughters, Diane Carr (Robert) of Marietta and Deborah Maxwell of Marietta, Ohio; four grandchildren, Lori Estes (Todd) of Marietta, Ashley Carr (Jenna) of Marietta, Bryan Maxwell of Columbus and Lisa Maxwell of Marietta; five great grandchildren, Gavin, Owen and Reagan Estes, Liam Carr and Taylynn Cobb; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Marie Craven Bishop; his parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell, Ohio. There will be no visitation.
