Donald Doyle Waggoner of Marietta, OH went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2013. He was born on January 24, 1939 in Amesville, OH to Edgar Doyle and Martha Waggoner.
On Aug.1, 1958 Don married the love of his life, Betty Lee Pabst. He was a bricklayer by trade, working through Union Local 15. Don was a member of the Marietta City Police Auxillary.
He is survived by his wife Betty, brother Gary (Mary), sister-in-law Barbara, two sons: Edwin and Cory (special friend: Dody) of Marietta, two daughters: Cheryl Montgomery (Steve) of Lowell and Balinda Harris of Marietta, five grandchildren: Trisha (Ray) Moore of Stanleyville, Renee (Todd) Miller and Erin Waggoner of Phoenix, AZ, Jason (Luci) Harris and Ashleigh (Jarrod) Schultheisz all of Marietta. God blessed Don and Betty with fourteen great grandchildren: Hailey, Anna, Mac, Brett, Drew, Josie, Meadow, Natalie, Jack, Colton, Genisus, Austin, Tristen and Landen.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Mary Martha, brother: John, his grandchild: Megan, great grandchild: Tidja, and one niece: Tracy. Don enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, but most of all spending time with his wife and family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral home with Pastor Woody Pryor officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.
