Donna Kay Newbrough,62, of Marietta, died Friday, July 8, 2011, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born November 22, 1948 in Steubenville to George Thomas and Irene Ann Fristick Chalfant. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Lowell Unit #750, and VFW Auxiliary of Post #5108. Donna is survived by a daughter, Carol May (Reuben) of Lowell, son, Michael Rowley (Brandi Colburn) of Waverly, Ohio, two grandchildren, Stephanie and Tyler Rowley, two step grandchildren, Brick and Kelsey May, two brothers, Paul Chalfant (Barb) and Tom Chalfant (Jeanne), all of Marietta, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Barbara and Carol Chalfant. Abiding with her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no services. The Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home is assisting her family. Donations may be made to the Humane Society, P.O. Box 5, Marietta, OH 45750.
