Doris Irene Griffin Hart, 78, of Marietta, died, Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Heartland of Marietta. She was born on November 14, 1936 in Carrollton, Ohio, to the late Harry W. and Marie Crouse Foster. Doris previously worked at the VFW Post 5108, where she was a lifetime member of the Auxiliary. She is survived by her four children, Rebecca "Becky" Knight (Steven) of Marietta, Carol Camp (Clifton) of Lowell, Teresa Griffin Kuhn of Shelby, NC, and Rex Griffin (Deborah) of York SC, ten grandchildren, Amanda Kinzel, Michael Dye, Rachel DePuy, Kayla Kendall, Douglas Kuhn, Sean Hargett, Jacob Carter, Victoria, Levi and Zachariah Griffin, nine great-grandchildren, one brother, Marvin Foster (Judy) of Carrollton, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hart on August 18, 2005, twin grandchildren, Stephanie and Melissa Knight, one sister, Helen Griffin, three brothers, Donald, Kenneth and William Foster, her children's father, Norval Griffin and her loving dog, Missy. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park. Donations may be made to the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley, P.O. Box 5, Marietta, Ohio 45750.
