Dorothy Marie Brauer, 84, of Vincent, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home with her husband by her side on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. She was born on October 29, 1933 in Watertown, Ohio to Raymond S. and Freda A. Biedenbach Rauch. Dorothy was a 1952 graduate of Waterford High School and she married Thomas L. Brauer on November 26, 1959. Dorothy was a faithful member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She enjoyed caring for children, reading, NASCAR, traveling and visiting the national parks and most of all spending time with family. She is survived by her husband of 58 years and their five children, Susan Peeler (John) of Raleigh, NC, Doug Brauer of Barlow, Ken Brauer of Marietta, Linda Brauer of Belpre, and Rob Brauer of Little Hocking; granddaughter, Elisabeth White (Zack) of Mooresville, NC; great grandson, Wilder White; step grandchildren, Kendall and Manning Peeler; sisters, Edna Stotts and Anna Offenberger (Joe); brothers, Bernard Rauch, Donald Rauch (Madge) and Mark Rauch (Katy); brother in law, Largus Brauer (Mary Lou); sisters in law, Rosanna Augenstein (John) and Karol Coleman (Don); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son in law, Doug Shaw; brothers, Lawrence and Walter Rauch; sisters in law, Jane and Mary Rauch; and brother in law, Russell Stotts. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, with The Rev. Robert Gallagher celebrating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
