Dorothy Elfreda Hollister

Dorothy Elfreda Hollister, age 78, of Lowell, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024, at Waterview Pointe. She was born on Monday, March 11th, 1946 in Marietta, Ohio.

Dorothy worked as a receptionist for MMH, Dr. Hoy, Dr. Hebb, and Drs. George and Strickler. She was also a member of Eastern Star, Mt. Moriah Chapter 506 in Beverly, Ohio, Lowell Christian Church, and the Gold Wing Road Rider Association Chapter PH-A3.

She is survived by her three children, Jodie Cassill (John) of Marietta, Ohio, Barbara Barton of Lowell, and Brian Hollister of Fleming; five grandchildren, David and Joshua Cassill, and Holden, Church, and Aurora Barton; as well as a great grandchild to be, Bentley Dean. She is also survived by her brother, Harold "Pete" Nonnenmacher Jr. (Marilyn), sister Virginia Dye, and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her spouse of 50 plus years, Harold Phillip Hollister, her father Harold Charles Nonnenmacher, her mother Helen Virginia Nonnenmacher, her son Michael Hollister, and her brother-in-law Donald Dye.

A Funeral Service will be held at Lowell Christian Church in Lowell, Ohio on Monday, March 25th, 2024 at 11:00 am, with visitation on Sunday, March 24th, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at LOWELL CHAPEL OF CAWLEY & PEOPLES FUNERAL HOME. The Eastern Star service will follow at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at Greenlawn Cemetery following the services on Monday.
