Dorothy Ann Tullius

Dorothy Ann Tullius, 83, of Marietta and formerly of Lowell, died Friday, August 30, 2013, at Harmar Place, surrounded by loved ones. She was born December 26, 1929 in West Wheeling, Ohio to Walter Lawrence and Alma Rachel Rhoads Bolen. Dorothy was well known as a waitress and cook in the Lowell area, having worked at many of the local establishments. She was a member of the Lowell Women of the Moose, Lowell Legion Auxiliary and the West Wheeling Methodist Church. She is survived by her three children, John A. Tullius (Connie), William L. Tullius, and Cindy Neader (Mike), all of Lowell; grandchildren, Jamey Brown of Marietta, Nikki Henniger , Rachel Neader, Carrie Tullius and Matthew Tullius (Rachael), all of Lowell, great grandchildren, Dominick Ayers, Jantzen Brown, Braden, Peyton and Caelum Henniger, Brenna Weidner, Clayton and Evie Tullius; siblings, Hazel Butler of Adena, Ethel Safigan (Andrew) of Ingleside, TX, Arthur Bolen (Judy) of Crooked Tree and Michael Bolen (Joann) of Belpre, 15 nieces and nephews, 32 great nieces and nephews, 19 great great nieces and nephews and her best friend from school, Eleanor Barnes (Roy), of Marietta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph John Tullius on July 23, 1971 and a brother, Robert Denzil Bolen. Visitation will be at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until noon. There will be a graveside service held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Crooked Tree Cemetery in Noble County. Donations to L-A Fire & Rescue, P.O. Box 406, Lowell, OH 45744.
