Earl Roger Bennett

March 12, 1953 — February 29, 2016

Earl Roger Bennett, Sr., 62, of Williamstown, WV, passed away on Tuesday, February 29, 2016, after a long hard- fought battle with cancer at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Born March 12, 1953 in Steubenville, OH, he was a son to Viola Bernice and Carlton Lester Bennett. Earl served in the U.S. Army for 17 years, serving in both Vietnam and Desert Storm. Prior to his illness, Mr. Bennett was employed with Air Evac, where he pursued his passion as an aircraft mechanic. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time hunting and fishing. Earl loved to shoot his gun and bow. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Robbie Lee Bennett. Also surviving are three children, Patricia Lynn Bennett (Eric Ferguson), Earl Roger Bennett, Jr., and Chad James Duvall (Susie); four grandchildren, Thaddeus James Duvall (Maggie), Samantha Lynn Brown, Earl Roger Bennett III, and Sarah Ann Bennett. Funeral services will be held at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Waverly, WV at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016, with Pastor Joe Heldman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to Strecker Cancer Center in Marietta, OH
