Earl William "Bill" Shipley, 83, of Pomeroy, Ohio and formerly of Lowell, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014, in Pomeroy. Born July 13, 1931 in Belmont County, Ohio, to Clarence and Jessie Minor Shipley. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Preceded by two siblings, Charles and Margrete Shipley. Graveside services at Greenlawn Cemetery, Lowell, with full military honors, on Monday, October 6, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be from noon until 1:30 p.m. on Monday at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, 227 Lock St.
