Earl Louis Thieman

Earl Louis Thieman, 92 of Lowell, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Appletree Assisted Living in Barlow, Ohio.

Earl was born June 26, 1926, the second son of Harold and Amelia Thieman. He attended Union School and he retired from RJF International after 60 years of employment . He was a US Army veteran and served during the Korean War. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and a member of the Holy Name Society. He also was a life member of the American Legion Post 750.

He enjoyed farming and serviced the area with a water hauling business for many years. Some of his greatest joys other than his family were the times he spent talking and visiting with his customers.

He is survived by his wife Frances, whom he married on December 29, 1948, with 70 years of marriage. He is also survived by his three daughters Bernadette Kern (Regis), Connie Schwendeman (Joe), Christine Weppler (Lynn), and son Alan Thieman (Wendy) all of Marietta. Grandchildren included Nicholas Kern (Donna), Cortney Clark (Ryan), Jeremy Schwendeman (Jessica), Corey Schwendeman (Erica), Abby Masucci (Mario), Andrea Nichols (Bryan), Jason Weppler (Abby), Joshua Thieman and Allyson Thieman also 10 great grandchildren Jack, Olivia, Alec, Connor, Lucas, Jaelynn, Addison, Avery, Brayden, and Grayson, and his sister Eleanor Decker (George) of Marietta, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers , Ralph Thieman, Carl Thieman, and sisters Edna Huck, and Mary Lou Carpenter.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers from Appletree Assisted Living and Stonerise Hospice for the wonderful care he received.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Our Lady of Mercy Church Lowell, with The Rev. Timothy Shannon celebrating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military rites observed. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with a Rosary service at 3:45 p.m. Donations may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Earl's memory.
