Edna G. Chapman, 86, of Marietta, Ohio, died on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on June 4, 1933 in Calhoun County, WV to Holly and Effie McWilliams Vannoy.

Edna retired in 1995 from Marietta Convalescent Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Marietta and loved to do word searches, puzzles, crochet and quilt.

She is survived by three children, Evelyn Callihan (Leonard), David Bennett (Karen) and George Bennett; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Bertha Roberts; brothers, Bernard Vannoy and Harry Vannoy (Mary); and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by six siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Rev. Chad Mugrage officiating. Burial will follow in Gravelbank Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. up until time of services.
