Edna Helen Huck
Edna Helen Huck, 74, of Lowell, died Sunday, August 2, 2009, at Marietta Center. She was born September 16, 1934 in Marietta to Harold Joseph and Amelia Lang Thieman. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, the Waterford Grange, Globe Retirees Club, Churchtown, Beverly and Lowell Senior Citizens ,and the O'Neill Center. Edna enjoyed playing cards with local senior citizens' groups, quilting, gardening, canning, taking bus trips, and spending time with friends and family. She is survived by two daughters, Janet Hall (Steve) of Marietta and Joyce Applegarth (Ken) of Mt. Vernon; three sons, Robert Huck (Alberta) of Waterford, Gary Huck of Lowell and Rick Huck (Beth) of Waterford; ten grandchildren, Tonia Hall, Amy Lauer (Davey), Jamie Huck (Jared Willey), Tammy Boswell (Bill), Scott Huck (Ashley), Jessica Applegarth, Ryan Applegarth, Will Huck, Grace Huck and Ethan Huck; three great grandchildren, Tanner Boswell, Brock Lauer and Adeline Willey; two brothers, Earl Thieman (Frances) of Lowell and Carl Thieman of Waterford; a sister, Eleanor Decker (George) of Marietta and special friend, Harry Lauer of Lowell, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carol Ralph Huck on January 10, 1995; they were married on April 10, 1951; also preceded by a brother, Ralph Thieman and a sister, Mary Lou Carpenter. Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2009, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, with The Rev. Brad Greer as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The Rosary will be prayed at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
